what monitor/res to pair with 1080 for gaming - Page 2

I don't know on the whole maxed out. This is the dilema . Like I said I will prob. Want to get a ti model latter on. As long as AAA titles are somewhat playable now I would assume the ti model would make it way better if not able to max out latter on at 60fps. Anyways does 500 even get a good 4k display anyways? I'm pretty sure gets you a pretty damn good 1440 monitor.

In a way I'm almost glad the custom 1080s are so hard to get right now. By the time they are available we will know more of the flaws/ weaknesses of each brand.

Hey bro have you done any benchmarks or could provide avg fps for games like the division/witcher 3 etc....

Been contemplating getting one & sell my 980Ti before it loses more value but not sure if it's worth the tradeoff. I'm actually waiting for the 1080Ti.

Yea I've also got a x34, the asus is my secondary. In bf4 I know I'm fine but the division I usually play on high to maintain 60+ fps, on ultra that drops to as low as 35+ but with gsync it's no issues as maintains that ultra smooth gameplay. From what I've seen so far with regards to ultrawide/1080 it doesn't look like the performance is there yet for 100+ fps/ultra (single card). Looks like I'll be waiting.

Didn't mean to hijack ur thread wreed thumb.gif I'd also suggest an ultrawide to pair the 1080 with, if your budget allows it.
