Suspecting monitor causing lag after power outage, how do I test?

Hi.

I'm almost certain that my monitor is not keeping up anymore and has increased amount of input lag with the mouse, movement is just not smooth. You may wonder if it's my PC, mice whatever, but I've been through and changed every part of my pc and tried several mice with no help, but only ever had one monitor... and this lag all happened after a power outage, so one would assume it might have been the PSU, but I've already changed that.. so it has to be the monitor.

When changing HZ from 144 to 120 the difference is huge... 120 feels more like 60hz and 60hz is literally like having vsync on, with a 0.5s delay after each swipe or something, completely unplayable, so at this point it has to be the monitor.

But before I go out buying new one, and I'm not able to test one atm. how can I further test if the monitor is causing problems? i did try a HDMI cable instead of the DVI, and it just felt just as bad in 60hz.

It's a XL2411T BENQ.

Ty.

There's a few different tests on this website; http://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates Not too sure if that helps tbh.
