Right but still wouldn't be true haha. I can oc mine to 1200/1650 then what its like apples to oranges. Does the 970 equal 980 performance then i would say yea its true it does beat the r9 390 in every game.

People are nuts basing an entire new architecture on rumors and a single review lol. Its totally idiotic.

All these people expecting performance better than 980 and Fury...
Your dreams are broken, get back to earth tongue.gif

It's a $200 card not a $400.

You want something better than 970 or 980 you gotta pay more than those cost.

Now, if an AIB releases a turbo edition, that will probably suck.

You'd have to tip an extra 50$ if you want it to blow. And a 100$ for the sucking AIB edition.

LOL nuff said .

If he is using the proper driver (which I don't think he is, as users on this forum have put performance @ stock 980), then it is a EPIC FAIL.

My 290x is faster.

Ok it's not an epic fail, but it is nothing to be excited about for the price.

Yup looks like it. I'm guessing he wasn't on the list for AMD but got a card with drivers on disc (users on this forum have said they are poor) and decided to get some hits on his youtube channel as he didn't sign an NDA.

I'm going on the assumption he can tell the time and that people who have the card on this forum have not been trolling.

So @ stock it performs around where most of us were expecting. It's the OC'ing that's a major letdown.. But as i said from the beginning, that 6 pin was always going to severely limit it.

We'll have to wait and see what they can do on custom boards, i wish the AIB's were also out on the 29th..

Overall it's very solid at it's price.

No no, wait yet. People on this forum who have the card have very different performance between launch driver and one on the disc. (supposedly)

The 970 is two years old, how in the hell is not beating a 2 year old GPU acceptable!!!
