MSI BIOS and OC settings

Thread Starter
A few days ago I successfully OCed my CPU up to 4.4Ghz at a low voltage. The PC restarted two times meanwhile and each time I raised the voltage by 0.005. A week have passed and today, as I usually do; was playing the Division and PC restarted again. And again I raised the voltage.

My question is, why the PC kept stable a whole week and with long gaming sessions - The Division, Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, Black Desert Online (As you can see, they are all demanding games) - and suddenly it restarted ?

There is so much setting in the OC menu in the BIOS, I just changed the multiplier and the voltage. Is there any other settings I must be aware ?

As attachment, pic of PC under full load, by Intel Extreme Tuning Utility's stress:

PC spec:

Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.4Ghz
MSI Z97 GAMING 3
Cooler Master Seidon 120V Plus
G.Skill Value DDR3 4 Go PC10600 NT x 2
OCZ ModXStream Pro - 600W

Your CPU voltage incremental increases are probably too low. Do it in 0.01v (or at worst 0.005v) increments not 0.001v. I'm going to guess you need around 1.20v-1.22v CPU voltage for that to be somewhat stable.

Thanks for the answer. I was incrementing by 0.005v, but I'll try that with 0.01v.

I was expecting someone who also use an MSI BIOS, who could explain the use of all the option in the OC menu...
