5930k Weird Temps

My CPU temp or socket temp (not sure which one) is always 40-44C at idle. Even when the cores are idling around 30c I have that horrible temperature. After stress testing the cores get into the mid 40s and the socket temp gets into the low 50s at stock. I put a fan on my socket (I have a custom loop with an aquacomputer Kryos block and 720mm of rad space for cpu, gpu, mobo) and it did not do anything to help temperatures at the socket area so bad airflow has been ruled out. At my full overclock (4.7ghz 1.327 vcore) my Socket temp can get into the mid 70s (way past tcase) but my cores will be well within the safe zone. I think I can get more out of this CPU but as of now my temperature concerns are holding me back.

What are you using to monitor these temperatures? Can you post screenshots of the temperatures using HWinfo64 and / or RealTemp as the hardware monitoring application?

Hwinfo64 and Msi command center. I'll post screen shots late tonight.

Stock Bench

Overclocked Idle

Overclocked Bench 4.6ghz

For whatever reason at any speed or voltage my CPU package temp will not go under 40c, overclocked or not. But when overclocked its going up to 81c. In MSI command center the 81c is the CPU temp, which is fine if its the CPU. However in hwinfo64 its listed as the packaged temp, tcase, which is never supposed to go over 65c.

I just want to know which temp to go with so I can squeeze some more mhz out of this.
