I hope that the RX480 lives up to the expectations.
Maybe it'll make the resale value of older graphics cards more affordable for a change.

Overwatch aint exactly the most demanding game out there ...

but its an awesome one, so I approve of this

Conveniently sped up so you cannot make any guesstimation when it comes to actual framerate. This video serves no purpose other than to show the card actually functions.

Hopefully it'll be a good card though. Freesync is so much more affordable than GSYNC in Finland at least. Not buying the "faster than 980Ti", but if it's better than 970 or close to 980 non-Ti, it's good enough for me (single 1080p or 2560x1080 ultrawide at 144Hz, last gen games).

The bit at the end is run at normal speed, can't get FPS from it but it does look pretty smooth

A low motion scene though, that one. Equally difficult to make any approximation, especially since the video is 30fps. If the video was 60fps that might help a bit even if the scene doesn't have quick movement. But without any kind of helping factors it really doesn't serve a point IMO.

I really want this card to succeed, I've been too long in the green camp. I'd like to be positively surprised for once, but $250 sounds extremely ominous to me. They'd sell it for higher if it was like, super good. I don't know. Time will tell, as always.

I don't think that "faster than 980ti" was ever suggested.

Listing price is 360 euros here. Ah Europe even when you deduct taxes you don't have MSRP. A great place to live almost as great as Australia in terms of price gauging.
It better come down to 200-250 euros in a week.

Really looking forward to seeing the performance of this card!

Who ever gets one I'm totally down for a bench off with my overclocked GTX 970, the RX 480 will probably be faster so it's going to be awesome to see performance better than a GTX 970 and R9 390 in a $200 GPU!

I don't even know anymore man, so much "leaks" and "rumors" that pop up on the front page's news aggregate that it's difficult to keep track of the he-say-she-say.

It's truly unfortunate how we get robbed when it comes to GPU prices. Thankfully, Germany right now has GTX 970 low end models for 269€, so I'm hopeful the RX 480 will be less than 300€. I can pay that much for 970/980 level perf. and cheaper adaptive framerate tech.
