If thats true that really nice!

What was left out from the OP is that two of the regular flex SLI bridges offer the exact same scaling. The flex bridges in the charts were single bridge only.

This was just posted the other day.

Correct, at the end of the video he tested 2 x ribbons vs an HB bridge and the performance was identical.

So what is this telling us? that the new HB SLI bridge won't give u any performance?

Unless you play at higher than 5k-6k total resolution (e.g. triple 1440p monitors), no the HB bridge will net zero performance gains. The extra bandwidth just isn't needed.

What on earth is that scaling on 980Ti SLI ? That's just horibad IMO. 10 FPS gain for SLI vs. single card :|

Same with 1080 with normal bridge !

I think he means versus two ribbon bridges?

OT: the thing that's baffling me is whether or not a single ribbon bridge is sufficient for a 980Ti SLI with a 1440p monitor at 120Hz, which is what I'm currently running, based on that Nvidia chart that's making the rounds. I'm highly skeptical that anything more is going to make any difference, but I think that my cards are correctly spaced to use the 3-way hard bridge that came with the RVE, so if I can figure out where I buried it after the build got finished I might have a go with it just for fun. But I'm predicting no performance difference.

It's telling you that you can either stick two flex bridges on your cards or get one of the new HB bridges. The results are pretty good on a select few titles, like the ones posted above, but for the most part it doesn't seem to make much difference. If the few titles that show a performance increase with the HB bridge are not important to you, then you can just use one of the regular bridges.
