The performance boost probably wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Silly us, we almost forgot mentioning the 970. wink.gif

It took only 20 23 posts, gentlemen. thumb.gif
Good job. It looks like we don't even need any preluding conversation anymore.

But never you mind folks, it all boils down to this, anyway.

You can blame nVidia's marketing department. biggrin.gif

flaming/ arguing aside, I need to see real DX12/ Vulkan games on Polaris/ Pascal/ Vega before switching.

Because I still think DX11 CPU overhead on AMD is still an issue compared to nVidia... (for my current games)

And I don't think 3DMark is relevant anymore because it would be easy for them to program it significantly different than what most DX12/ Vulkan games will end up doing.

... Like 3DMark 11 vs Firestrike... both DX11, but different.

Things wont chance much for DX12 since is based on GCN. so DX12 wise RX could beat/match 980Ti/1070. and Vega isnt a midrange gpu and wont be released soon

and Pascal shares similar architecture as Maxwell and GTX 1080 didnt perform a lot better than a Fury X

Polaris has been improved for DX11 but waiting to compare how much difference has could be good.
