I also upped the power limit to 10% and the fan limits to 2500/3600 which honestly weren't that bad. Temps never exceeded 69c.

r9 280x - 1150/1600

Fire Strike - 9426 graphics score

3dmark 11 - 11591 graphics score

(didn't get extreme or ultra with my 280x)

Will do more benchmarks and play with voltages and core speeds more tonight.

Any requests? Any different benchmarks? Only games I have right now are witcher 3, csgo, overwatch, and diablo 3. I have others on steam but none really current and/or taxing on the hardware.

do these if you can:

1- set power limit to highest
2- use the same clocks as last run ( 1328-2050)
3- undervolt as much as you can

then let us know about the scores please biggrin.gif

50% - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9048859 - 74c all with 2600/3800 fan speed and 25mv undervolt

I'll try a 25mv more undervolt with 50% and see what it does

hmmm... lower performance ...

ditch the undervolting and stick to overclocking biggrin.gif

I boosted it up to 1350, but no real change. If I go any higher the drivers crash as soon as the gpu goes under load.

I'll set up a spreadsheet tomorrow or some time this weekend showing the differences between power levels/voltages/temps etc.

I'm averaging a gpu score of 13700 which would put me between a fury, and a furyX.

thats pretty dang good.

for comparison my 290 Vapor-X OC gets 12362.

im getting excited for AIBs now, so i can retire this personal space heater...

What are your temps? If you stick to <60 i am sure you will get better overclocks

As The Mac said, it is pretty good. A 290 at 1200 gets about 13600 but not many can game at those speeds. If this 480 can maintain it for games, then it is really a good upgrade path for those who are still using Tahitis or Tongas.

The AIBs should be able to clock higher. At 1500 core it may way outperform even the 390X. Then comes DX12.

My temps never go above 70c now with my current temp/fan settings. 2600/3900 rpm on fan with temp targets of 80 max and 60 target.
