Haha, my R7 265 can now play with medium textures/shadows and ultra everything else @ 1366x768. Getting 60-120fps.

Going to need a RX 470 soon though, building a 2560x1440 monitor.

Mmmm, I do hope Vulkan gets more support than since it not locked to a specific OS.

I don't have polaris yet, but i tested Doom on my FuryX and xeon 5650@4.2ghz and man what a night and day difference on FPS. When i set AA from none to TSSAA 8x it was almost no FPs loss. I almost wonder if Fiji is gaining even more than polaris on this Vulkan Doom deal.... i could swear i am getting almost double fps but its probably closer to 30%.

Be interesting to see some Fury X benches , particularly against a 980 ti and 1070 . Hopefully some more details reviews will come up of this.

Even if you got Polaris gains you FPS jump would be huge.

I wonder if this puts the Fury x ahead / onpar with the 1070 ? i mean from Guru3d it shows a 480 is ~ 25% behind a 1070 in all reses. So a Fury X could be 1070 level.

The gap between RX 480 & 1070 tighten up...

also surprise to see ancient cards like R7 getting a boost

Polaris, the journey begins....

i have a feeling vulkan is going to be an uphill battle.

most devs are salty due to the mess that is OGL and may be unwilling to give vuklan a chance.

The GB of my 7770 is really holding me back in my setup with a 1440p monitor, even more than the power of the card. I think that 1000 series are overpriced with the founders edition tax and that the 480 is a bit worse than it was meant to be; for his price and node jump, the 980 performance level is what it would have to be. If the 470 delivers 290 performance, I'm sold.
