I'd imagine this drive my sellout

Newbie question as I know nothing about SSD. Says Form Factor: m.2 (2280) and a Interface SATA III, so could I connect this to a SATA port on my PC or do I need something else?

TIA

Seems there are these type of adapters that would allow you to hook up through SATA.

Well, under specs it has Interface SATA III.

Shouldn't that already work without buying such an adapter? Spending an extra $20 would suck.

m.2 is totally different. It's basically a PCI interface and the SSD is about 1/3 the size of a normal SATA SSD. You can get adapters online, I got a ZTE adapter from m.2 to SATA, it should work quite nicely for now with my motherboard that doesn't have a m.2 port.

I've always wanted to play around with one of these. Had a drive in the nas die on me, so it will have to wait.
