what to do with this QX6850

My buddy won one of these chips at a raffle years ago, and it has sat in his closet ever since. He is finally deciding to build a new Pc, and I was wondering, is it worth it to sell this chip or build a PC around it?

He wants to sell but I dont think he will be able to get any real amount of cash for the chip, I think he should build a rig using it? Any help would be great, thanks

Honestly the chip is old enough that it isn't gonna be a real big powerhouse of a chip.
So for a gaming machine it will work if he is doing a budget build, but it isn't gonna be any spectacular.

Honestly the best use that chip has is to overclock the snot out of it and see how fast you can get it moving.
So if you aren't into overclocking, it might be best to donate it to one of the benchmarkers on the site, and see if they will do some LN2 runs with it until it dies.

It would be a fantastic and glorious death for such an iconic chip.
