Charlie has typically good sources. Then when it comes to Nvidia he blows it out of proportion.

The source is probably about as credible as Charlie, which is basically not at all. He's been wrong so many times - only his most endearing followers give him an ounce of credit. That is to say, it's barely fair to call him mentally stable.

Plenty of stock trickling here in the UK - they just get lapped up quickly.

High? Yeah sure everyone is dumping 800-1000 USD (incl. tax etc., final paid price) for a single GPU lachen.gif

Yeah, that's a price point in the Titan-X range, and I think there was a grand total of maybe 2 days (like the 2nd and 3rd day after release) where availability was limited/sold out.

I have a hard time believing Nvidia produced more Titan-X GPU's than they are the 1080...

I can think of better things to spend 2 grand on.

Well I wouldn't use the deal you got to claim that the 1080 is somehow a $580 card though. Right now it is pretty much a $700 card seeing as how nobody can manage to actually buy non-reference cards that cost appreciably less...

Interesting how you fail to notice the irony of that comment! doh.gif

ypu. you're right. $700 for 1080 FE is high to say the least. Even $580 is not really that good.
