Which type of monitor should i buy? Flicker-free vs Flicker-safe ?

Hello,

I have an old monitor i want to upgrade (19'' Philips D-sub 1440x900)

I spend hours everyday working with Microsoft Word. I want a new monitor that will not hurt my eyes. For this, i found out that there is a certification: " TUV Rheinland Certification for Flicker-free and Low Blue Light " . Such monitor would be like this one: http://www.benq.com/product/monitor/ew2440zh/

But this ^ monitor is only Full HD.

For cheaper , i found LG 25UM58-P ,which does not have the certification i wrote above. But it has a tempting 2560 x 1080 resolution i want with passion. On its website ( http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-25UM58-P-ultrawide-monitor ) , under "Special Features", it writes that it is "Flicker Safe".

Now i dont have an idea if this LG monitor's Flicker Safe feature is as quality as TUV's Flicker-free certification?
And LG monitor doesnt have a Low Blue Light option. But this is something that , i think, i can overcome, using Flux software. Am i right?

Shortly, i want a monitor that will not hurt my eyes on using desktop, Microsoft Word. And if such monitor is only Full HD and has to have "TUV Rheinland Certification for Flicker-free and Low Blue Light" or another certification/feature you recommend , i am ready to stop thinking about the LG with beautiful 2560 x 1080 resolution, and buy a monitor with that feature/certification instead. But if they would be the same eye-protecting quality as LG's this monitor, then i will definitely buy LG.

Advices appreciated!

Flicker Free=Flicker Safe=no LED PWM Dimming. Also, the BenQ EW2440L is a terrible monitor, even compared to their other VA panel like the EW2440ZH, GW2470H and GW2455H, so don't accidentally buy one. Low Blue Light and F Lux just ruin the image quality. The same effect can be achieved by drastically reducing monitors Blue color setting.

25" 21:9 monitors are the same height as 20" 16:9 monitors.

Thanks for all those info! Its good to know they are same tech.
Okay i will reduce Blue color instead.
I dont care if it is same height as 20'', cause i just need a lot of workspace, thus, higher resolution.

Btw, i am using an LCD monitor right now. Not LED. Does this mean my current LCD monitor displays as a monitor with "no LED PWM Dimming" ?

&

As i mentioned,I am using a D-sub monitor with DVI to D-sub converter. I can easily see the screen flicker when i game (i rarely game.) I dont have an idea if it flickers on desktop (using Word etc) also. Even just because of this, would me switching to an HDMI monitor help my eyes?
