Sennheiser HD 558 vs Sennheiser HD 598 vs Sennheiser Game One

I have a Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headphones i plan to change them because they are sort of uncomfortable after a couple of hours of use, can someone help me out if should buy the Sennheiser HD 558, 598 or The Game One., and would they sound better than my Razer Kraken 7.1 chroma ?
Each of those Sennheiser cans blow that Kraken out of the water. Imagine a pro sports team against the pee wee league. The real question is, what will you be using to drive those headphones with?

558s are lighter and I loved them for long term (6+ hours) use, even with glasses.

598s are a little heavier, but are built a bit better and sound a bit better too.

Depends on how much they cost to you. And as the above, what will you be using to power them?

Actually this question is for my friend who has the high end gigabyte Z170x G1 motherboard which has a decent in built sound card, but the problem is that in my country 598 is 50$ more expensive than the 558, is it worth the extra money?

You're going to want a dedicated amp/dac. I don't know the specs of that board, but using onboard sound to drive headphones has never been ideal.

It has a Creative ZxRi on-board. Not a Realtek. It is probably the single best on-board sound solution in the market.

The 598s use a leather wrap and pad on the headband instead of no wrap and felt pad. I believe the sound quality is a bit better.

I loved both though, I don't think I could justify $50 more, it really is a close tie at that difference. $50 could also buy a ModMic, then he'd get a microphone too.

If I'm reading this right, you're saying that it has one of these onboard? Because it doesn't look that way to me.

The price ain't pretty, but it's one hell of a board.

I was looking at the newegg listed specs of the board. Must have been off. Seems odd that the sound card by itself cost more than that motherboard alone.
