The "preminumness" of a mouse is in it's quality and how it's marketed. Sometimes it's just how it's marketed.

People tend to want large mice. If the mouse is small they think it's for little kids or Asians.

In Asia you will regularly see small mice that are on the cheaper side.

Then there is the very cheap and tiny laptop mice. Obviously they don't have sensors for gaming, but the general person doesn't know that.

Yeah, well, I've heard people claim plenty of stupid crap. The whole DPI craze (that thankfully finally seems to be dying down now that Counter Strike is popular again) was incredibly stupid, for example.

So I guess what I mean to say is that I'm completely wrong and you're actually correct. Huh.

Well, it's Logitech that contributed a lot to bringing back some common sense into the market. If anybody will dare to do a small premium mouse, it's them. In fact, they already did it with the G303.

If they price it at $80 there is no way it will sell well. Can't be priced higher than what the 303 currently is and hopefully even lower if I got a choice.

Not necessarily. The mouse has this whole CS:GO spin to it so it could prove to be popular for that reason alone, even if it's expensive. Several posters already pointed it out. "Want to be as good as this other dude? Get this mouse. We had doctors do voodoo on this goddamn thing". Kids love juan taps.

I think some of us are beginning to sound as if we want this mouse to be expensive. What the hell am I even posting. CM's Spawn was an extremely well built mouse with the best sensor available at the time and it was very cheap.

You have no idea how small this forum is. Logitech is in a minority when it comes to csgo players using their mice. They need something cheap to take market shares and compete with brands that have bigger fanboy followings parroting their greatness in every what mouse is good thread.

I know I've been kind of attacking the mouse for the supposedly smaller form factor compared to what I'm accustomed to, but I have recently picked up my g303 for giggles. It's not that bad, but if it was wider it'd be more attractive to me and this mouse seems more wide in the grip area which makes me actually really excited to try it out. Just hope the weight is low, at most 86g. Also I'm gonna guess the price to be 60-70.

I don't think it will be priced high because it has to compete with zowie, razer and etc.. sure logitech has more sales than those companies but probably not in the 'hardcore' market - look at graphs and just see how many people are using ec1/za/fk and deathadder/steelseries then look for logitech... very small amount of users and maybe they are looking to enter that area.. so I think it will be a lower price than many of you are guessing

edit: by hardcore I mean top level players using their products, not just 'gaming'

It's laughable that you think Logitech is hurting in the mouse market, and a minor player in FPSs.

You spend too much time in this forum if you think Logitech is huge in the csgo and fps area. I never said a word about the mouse market in general but when it comes to fps Logitech isn't a big player, probably because of the spaceships released the past few years though. Try the csgo subreddit and the mouse surveys that pop up every now and then. The deathadder and rival demolishes every single time. Every forum thread when people ask about a new mouse Logitech very rarely gets mentioned.

Aja ncck says players mostly use other mice when it comes to hardcore fps single Logitech doesn't really have a good normal shape fps mouse.

Implying G100, G9x, G400, MX518 didn't already get logitech to compete with other brands. They arent that small as much as you think they are. Especially after the G502, they are pretty well know.
