Skadoodle and Semphis: Logi new mouse - Page 23

I see nothing but a 3366 dropping in this. If not ? I'd be highly highly surprised.

Then if this mouse comes out with a 3366 sensor no one will apologize for all the negative thinking.
I would call it healthy skepticism based on data and evidence. I mean, manufacturers do not really have a good track record with simple and affordable mice using top notch sensors.
Therefore I don't think there is a need for an apology.

However I personally vow to admit my fears were wrong and that I am relieved and happy to be wrong, if this mouse is indeed that: a simple no-frills ambidextrous mouse with solid build quality and great sensor (a.k.a. G100s v2.0). smile.gif

I apologize if this came out as negative. I'm not the kind of guy that rules things out before they are even here. I'm just speculating and trying as much as possible to prepare for the worst because of what they have done in the past, also that I'm already so damn pissed at steelseries for both the Rival 100 and the 700 release, so this was kinda similar.

Here's hoping for the 3366, but I still wont believe it before it's here biggrin.gif

A question for the technically minded: if this is a more budget friendly mouse and it doesn't have 3366 what alternatives could logitech use?

Are there "nerfed" versions of the 3366 available?

Is there any potential in the sensor to upgrade the AM010?

Maybe what they used in the g402? That would be a cheap alternative for them

If not there will be an angry mob outside Logi hq.

There would be no point to this mouse if it didn't have it. Even then, there's always other mice in the release pipeline.

Pretty sure it will have 3366.

There would be no reason to NOT put a 3366 in this mouse. I could understand your fears if the G303 were still in full production, but what other reason would Logitech have to EOL and discontinue the G303 then?

Besides me wanting a fully wired version of the G900 to come out, I do find that shape on the G303/G100s to be a bit too small for my overly long fingers, but it's not something that's pain inducing to use. I would be happy with replacing my g303 with this upcoming one, so I don't have to deal with sponge pieces in lens fixes for sensor stability :/

I think what they did with 303 is "testing the waters" to determine if small mouse with top sensor would be interesting to buyers, so they did it cheap way by just putting it into G302. Apparently aside from shape, the idea is popular enough to commit to release fully fledged small form-factor 3366 carrier.
