Skadoodle and Semphis: Logi new mouse - Page 60

personally i like the sensor performance of the lachesis 4k, but the sensor's just too picky about surface and you can hardly call it suitable for a gaming mouse. it sucks on cloth and performs bad on plastic as well. i use it on a very flat aluminium pad on which it does perform well

i'm curious to the newer PLN mice and how they feel relative to the lachesis 4k, but on the other hand i'm not curious enough to start spending cash just so i can compare them for a bit.

I am a Pro Side Buttons man. but I do kinda wish it was taller and narrower rather than wide and flat, but I don't think it'll be a huge deal with how I hold the mouse.

Man I'm not sure... I LOVE the FK1 but I had no problems using the G1, G100s and G303 either... Not sure where this one fits in, most likely G1/G100s territory shape-wise?

I might just buy it for the heck of it when it comes out and see if I prefer the shape over the FK.

I just happened to have this dilemma where whatever mouse there is, I always returned to my FK/FK1. But I'm so sure that the G100s-esque shape paired with a miles better sensor might be a deal breaker then. Also, I don't believe that Zowie has it in them to release a 3360 line in the near future in my personal opinion.

They are too different with 9800
They have different problems, let's say
I think you should try it, and see if it fits your ideals
Sadly enough mamba and DB aren't that popular here, so we can't know for sure how they performs now
I said now because razer usually change firmware and sht
But tbh I heard a lot of good stuff about DB's PTE from mouse enthusiasts
Some even said that DB and mamba use different implementations of that PTE
But we never know for sure

Nearly identical Philips twin eye sensor in both. The newer ones just have higher DPI and more voodoo stuff to remove the Doppler effect nuances causing jitter and z axis movement.

As it stands right now the mamba and diamondback are unfit to be called good competitive level mice due to their sensors being wonky.

thats what i was asking lol, what are the problems of the new PTE 16k dpi sensor? you said they removed the z axis issue, i didnt know PTE had jitter either. so if they fixed both of those issues what is wrong with it now? how is 3360 so better than it?

You can't remove z axis in Doppler type sensors. They basically made the lod low so the z axis is less evident.

The 16 k pre sensors due to jitter fixing are now unable to do small movements ( have insane amount of smoothing or processing) and have dynamic doing scaling. So the DPI changes on the mice at slow movement speeds.

In the end what you get is random sensor behaviour that prevents you from doing accurate slow movements, z axis bug that is still there but just not as pronounced.

Pretty sure Razer is still scaling the DPI which makes the mouse an automatic no go.

As a former Mamba user I can say that there are no pros that can outweight that con. As long as they have that pos workaround those sensors don't deserve a surface to track on.

I don't rly think that scaling DPI should be a problem for PTE
sadly there are no info whatsoever
