afaik no non microsoft mouse can report at 8000hz
not really a restriction; afaik 8000hz is sort of a hack and we're just lucky that mlt04 works with it. but as i've shown in my stuff it's not impossible to make firmware that supports 8000

i was just wondering about the reason they capped it.
can we assume that their mice just don't poll stably at anything above 1khz and they figured they might as well cap it?

@qsxcv i've seen you mention before that it relies on firmware, but then what's up with the G100s doing only 500hz?
is it the MCU bottle-necking, or did they actually lazy out on firmware?

I saw this on stream. Looks like a new mouse my bet G303 replacement. Shape looks more sensible.
whats the logic behind calling it a G303 replacement? biggrin.gif

Mouse which Skadoodle is using now has the same thumbrest as G402/G502. It is seen at CS GO vods, TSM vs C9, map 1 ECS:

edit. looks like a shorter G402 without sniper button and too front side buttons.

Im gonna call it a G403 with a 3366.
it kinda resembles the g302/3 still, so i imagine they're just testing out the pcb in a more reasonable shell as skadoodle and semphis are good candidates who didn't like the original shape.

I really never saw a thumb rest at all. It looked like an ambi shape though probably with side buttons only on one side.

Sean, Semphis, Jordan, Freakazoid, Skadoodle, etc, didn't like the G302's shape.
