[Fudzilla]GTX 1080 Best-selling high card in history sources claim - Page 17

GALAX has had stock of their EXOC 1080 cards for 3 days straight. They still have 1080s and 1070s in stock actually.

EDIT: now on pre-order.

And promptly the other day my second card refused to get any usage at all in BFBC2 after I installed the latest GeForce drivers (and yes I did go into the CP and enable SLI). First time this has ever happened to me with my dual Titans so I can only assume its an issue with the new driver? Will roll back to the previous and see if that fixes it...

Kepler gimping confirmed.

lachen.gif Seriously though, this has never been an issue before so I don't know what the deal is. Its not like BFBC2 is a new game or anything and I have played through it countless times with SLI before. Should probably try some other titles to see if SLI is just borked completely on my system...

I honestly don't think I've ever had this hard of a time finding a single part online before. The struggle to find an Asus Strix 1080 (under $699) is REAL!

...I just had to impulse build a rig after these launched. lachen.gif ............sad-smiley-002.gif

The shelf life normally being less than a year before most GPU's are updated/discounted, multiplied by a factor of a limited supply could enable a longer life and a higher average price to the 1080.
This time next year those who were stupid enough to pay more than $700 for a 1080 are going to be feeling the burn acutely. Vega and big Pascal are going to crush these 1080s.

That depends on how much nvidia charges board partners for their FE cooler with and without the vapor chamber. Who knows what that is.....

yes, bigger die top-end cards are going to beat a mid die card by 30-35%+

and it will only take them up to ~9 months to do so and they will also cost more
