Imagine those stupid guyz who pay for Titan cards, while common GeForce (as powerful and cheaper) are out 2 months later and even beaten by the next year middle chip rolleyes.gif

No modern card released today could ever match the 8800 series for sales.

Best the 1080 series could do is 2nd place, the bar is set too high.

More people on the PC market now than during 8800 times ? tongue.gif

By the way... people are rich, such overpriced card ugh.

I haven't seen much people complain about it though I must say, maybe I haven't been looking much though

Biggest TROLL gpu in history I think it should be titled. The GTX 1080 is the biggest joke I've seen from Nvidia....

Everything from the unrealistic temps at 2100Mhz core on AIR during their demonstration to the fact that the enthusiast key idea has been back peddled completely and is now ditched altogether, to the fact the cards are pushed to high clocks out of the factory just to make it push passed a Titan X or 980Ti. And even then....barely....

And to add more salt into the wounds, you can't actually find one in stock if you wanted one. Awesome!

And to think people sold Flagship Maxwell cards for this too, no words man.....just no words.

I said it before and i'll say it again, you should have waited for the big die likely to appear THIS year, which is expected to be 50% faster than the GTX 1080. And lets be honest, nobody remembers the middle of the road card in a GPU family.

This is all that has come in since about this time yesterday. Lack of supply is an understatement.

As expensive as these cards are, if I was swimming in cash I would purchase one. But most people don't live in a fantasy world unless

1) They have good jobs with a lot of disposable income
2) They are teenagers still living at home.

If #2, I would probably

1) Not be permitted to buy such an expensive card or be grounded
2) Spend the money on car insurance.

If I did not have car insurance I would most likely

1) Spend it on car repairs
2) Save it for something useful in life.

If I did not have a car I would use the money

1) To save up for a car
2) Buy a more affordable video card

If the 1080 could give me 60fps @ 4K i would get one now. I have to wait so long for an upgrade though. although probably by the time it actually came in stock 1080ti and Vega would be imminent.

1080Ti being imminent(this year or Q1 next year) is a myth, It took Nvidia 10 month after GTX 680 to make a big die Gaming GPU(Titan) on a then new process(28nm) and 4 more month for GTX 780. You expect them to put out a big die Gaming GPU faster on the 16nm process that is having problems like the 28nm process was 4 year ago?

Vega 10 might be closer but is still looking for Q4, and could be on par with 1080 and not much more, you will have to wait til 2017 for a card significantly faster than 1080, probably Pascal Titan in late Q1 and 1080 Ti in late Q2 2017.
