[Fudzilla]GTX 1080 Best-selling high card in history sources claim - Page 30

It do perform well.... But im sure the bandwith is bottlenecking that gpu..

There will always be performance gains from increasing one part of the GPU performance (more cores, more rops, more vram bandwidth etcetc) but it's about finding the balance. If you have to choose what to add, which resource is the best usage of die space, available power etc?

Processing units was a better usage of die space and board power than a wider memory controller and 1.5x more VRAM chips would have been. This is largely because they need way under half of the memory bandwidth per frame due to improved compression, caching etc.

I've had Distill running for weeks and I've yet any luck...

Do you happen to work at your PC?

I wonder if the cards are out of stock so quickly purely because of these flippers.

Rep +

I agree with what you said..

Kinda like fury performing bad with 500gbs.

I just think nvidia is pulling a 3.5gb kind of thing with low bandwith. Maybe not. But i do think they would probably give 10+ fps at 500gbs + If my 7950 gain 3 fps at 30 fps it 11% from 240 to 288gbs

So imagine a 3x more powerfull gpu the 1080. With 320gbs at 500gbs or 600gbs... Would probably gain 15-25% on top maybe.

I wont spend 1k $ on a 1080. If the 1080ti get 50-75% better performance. And cost 20% more redface.gif

People who actually want the card include me btw, I got the 1080 FTW in my rig right now and it will probably stay there until 1080 Hybrid comes out.

Were the cards still sealed in box or did you use them? If used then they shouldn't be sold as if they were new to begin with. As for ebay and Paypal fees, well that's just the cost of doing business.

But since you made your money back and then some, this is a pointless discussion.

They were sold as lightly used 1080s, and the market price for them are not all that different from a unboxed one, actually more so if you can show the card actually works and is not DOA. You are taking exception to me doing what's within the law and good for my wallet rolleyes.gif

Maybe I should have damaged my own bank account to look cool to poor internet forumers, the AMD way of doing business biggrin.gif

Nope you took advantage of the market situation. Only during times like these can a lightly used card still be listed for MSRP and get pushed to over MSRP. And why exactly did you go through two 1080s? Did they not overclock well enough for you?

But ince you made your money back and then some, why do you care what I think? Btw you should probably look at my rig before making assumptions. wink.gif Then again, typical nVidia user. rolleyes.gif
