maybe they won't as it would save a lot of people's money
the card is rad and all but if you don't care about the looks then get the cheapest 1080 and oc, you're more than likely to hit the performance level of an oc'd $700+ "extreme" card
update: well, this card is actually priced at 3380zł, while msrp is 3600zł. so the $ price would be around $650-670
no they just haven't done any Fury X testing for a long time apparently, so these are waaaaaay outdated for amd cards.... I would not even look at those, it's more like a comparison of 1080s
Zotac makes amazing but very underrated cards. Probably my next GPU is a highly clocked Zotac GPU. My friend bought a Zotac 980 Ti Omega and it clocks much better than my MSI card. Was able to acheive 1550 MHz gaming stable on air.

I got a MSI 980Ti 6G, clocked to 1510MHz on stock voltage, no coil whine, quiet as church mouse
ppl on 980Ti thread got Zotac 980Ti Extreme cause it ran +1400mhz out of the box thinking it would oc higher, they were surprised they could not get past 1450mhz with voltage maxed out. Reported outrageous coil whine too.
This is what I'd like ppl to observe about this article, not only the fact it's the highest clcoked 1080. It's got NOTHING to do with max oc you'll be able to get. Same as in Palit Gamerock review. It comes clocked at 2GHz too, pretty sick. But they managed 25MHz oc on it.
i run my zotac 980ti extreme 24/7 365 on Boinc , like primegrig PPS Sieve or other.. 1525-37 mhz on core with NO PROBLEMS. im try 1580 on 3dmark test but get some artifacts. 1560 im think i get over 3marks ok.. but im can try again for us
im wait for these 1080 amp extreme cca 2100mhz (no problemo)... becouse you get always more on zotac
I just saw that Zotac actually has boost clock on 1080 AMP! Extreme specified 10MHz lower than on Asus Strix, yet in the review the card boosts 60MHz higher than Strix. With Turbo Boost 3.0 I suspect they might have cherry picked the GPU they sent for reviews.
Going by that logic, many 480 owners will be angry when Vega comes too.
But anyone who doesn't have their head buried in the sand knows that new products replace old all the time.
It's nonsensical to be upset about it.
