no they just haven't done any Fury X testing for a long time apparently, so these are waaaaaay outdated for amd cards.... I would not even look at those, it's more like a comparison of 1080s

Zotac makes amazing but very underrated cards. Probably my next GPU is a highly clocked Zotac GPU. My friend bought a Zotac 980 Ti Omega and it clocks much better than my MSI card. Was able to acheive 1550 MHz gaming stable on air.

believe me, it's luck of the draw.

I got a MSI 980Ti 6G, clocked to 1510MHz on stock voltage, no coil whine, quiet as church mouse
ppl on 980Ti thread got Zotac 980Ti Extreme cause it ran +1400mhz out of the box thinking it would oc higher, they were surprised they could not get past 1450mhz with voltage maxed out. Reported outrageous coil whine too.

This is what I'd like ppl to observe about this article, not only the fact it's the highest clcoked 1080. It's got NOTHING to do with max oc you'll be able to get. Same as in Palit Gamerock review. It comes clocked at 2GHz too, pretty sick. But they managed 25MHz oc on it.

Doesn't mean much, it's kinda like saying, "I bet on black at the roulette table, a friend bet red and won, so I am going to bet red next time."

Very true.

I find it unbelievable that a 1080 with two fans on it is suddenly $750 in store.

The prices are so abusive, I will be waiting longer it seems to get a new GPU.

Basically because they can, that is what happens when there is no competition probably why they rushed to get them out this early.
