Corsair K70 Rapidfire RGB making noise

So I just bought this KB.

Great finish, relatively small. The switches are perfect for m. Quick pretty quiet.

But the LEDs are making a faint coilwhine like noise. The higher the light output the louder it gets. Now it's not very loud, but I m sensitive to high pitch noises, and it's louder than my PC itself.

Is it something I can expect to go away with time, or I should look into getting an exchange?

I have owned several mechboards (more than 5) and most of them are with LED but I have NEVER come across coil whine from a keyboard. Not to mention that it's even louder than your PC.
I guess your best bet is to RMA it for your peace of mind.

Ok thanks for the info dude.
I had it run all night on max brightness just to see if it would burn off. But still buzzing.
Let's start that long process.

This is a known issue with certain batches. RMA it instead of returning it to the store, to be sure you dont get a keyboard from the same batch. There is a thead about this on the corsair forums.

That's not good, I am moving country in 20 days, there is no way they would be able to RMA a new one here in time for the move and I don't have an actual address yet for the new one... Great timing !
