Thread Starter
i game at 1920x1200 on my sig rig.

my question is, will my cpu, vidcard, or both end up bottle-necking a game like BF1 at 1200p and why?

thanks!

You shouldn't have any problem, CPU might bottleneck a bit especially at stock settings but you can OC it easily depending on your cooling. As for the gpu, 970 is almost as about as good as it gets especially at that resolution.

If the i7 920 doesn't cut it you can always pick up an X5650 Xeon from ebay for $60.That's a 32nm six core twelve thread processor. IIRC I have seen people run that chip with your motherboard.

Battlefield 1 should be equipped with DX12/Vulkan.

Depends on the settings. On Low yeah, but at higher settings with the GPU maxed it will be fine.
