Anyway, wait for full reviews unlike these 1-2 games. 390X scores lower than 970 in GTA V for instance in TPU's review and RX 480 leaked gameplay videos looked to be at the same performance.

I stand corrected the Zotac's GeForce GTX AMP! Omega Edition boasts a 1203MHz base & 1304MHz boost clock
not the numbers i linked Base: 1228 MHz & Boost: 1380 MHz
Where stock 970 is Base: 1050 & Boost: 1178

So a 15% OC-ed 970 is used in the article (as dully noted below the original picture of the article). And not the 17% OC-ed i quoted by mistake. Either way it's a GTX 980 stock equivalent card.

lol .. you mean it was running at ~ 1080 mhz .. against a 15-17% ocd 970.. very interesting if true means it will wipe the floor with the 970 at 1266 mhz boost.

In a prior leak, there was a game where the RX 480 performed similarly to a GTX 970, and within that same leak, superior to a GTX 980 and a GTX 970 in another game.

We do not know enough yet. Don't overestimate nor underestimate this thing. I know I'm getting one of the AIB versions regardless.

Just having a laugh, personally I think AOTS is garbage.

It still doesn't mean I don't think Async and DX12 are going to be playing a big part in the close future.

Which is why my next card is going to be AMD they age like a fine wine.

Chev, well I can't speak for him.....he's just being Chev in an AMD thread rolleyes.gif

???? Nvidia's high end cards(980Ti, Titan X) are faster than AMDs(Fury, Fury X) in tomb Raider for sure....and the game is a DX11 game with a tacked on Dx12 "mode" like Resident Evil 5's DX10 mode. I don't think this video goes against anything i've said.

Well my r9 380 4gb was $203.00 shipped at the time i bought it it's oc'd to r9 380x speed and i have been very happy with it cool and almost zero sound never gets above 72c in games with auto fan .Hardest game i play is skyrim with enb and almost 200 mods about a dozen 2-4 texture mods and all skin mods and armor mods are 2k plus never drops below 45 fps the RX 480 8gb looks like a great card for that game for for $250.00 I will get it thumb.gif
