Thoughts about Finalmouse 2015 ergo vs Zowie EC2-A vs Logitech G400s

After being several years a EC2 fan I got to say Finalmouse 2015 beats it easily:

Finalmouse light weight and light buttons make it so much more fluid to tap and aim. It feels like im holding a feather. So much easier to get in to "flow" mode. Finalmouse ergo doesnt strain my grip. It just feels more natural. The light weight and light buttons are more important than the flaws of Finalmouse which are cheep feel and squiqy mouse 2 button. Logo look also pretty cheap and ugly.

But the ergo grip, light weight, good mice feet, light buttons = best mouse for me personally. Tbh I didnt think I would like this Finalmouse as it looks quite crappy build item. But in practise it really performs amazingly good. Especially button clicks are so enjoyable to use compared to zowie.

I also bought Logitech G400s which will arrive in a few days so I will be comparing it to Finalmouse later on.

Jude is it you?

More seriously I tried the FM and despite it performing really good, I am just not willing to accept the sup bar built quality at that price point (might have been my unit only but reading other posts it seems to be more of an overall issue).

i have all three of these mice and while they all have something i like about them i tend to stick to my ec2.

the weight of the classic ergo is the most ideal for me of all three, there are things like the poorly implemented 3310 sensor and the fail side buttons (which are two huge things for me) that keep me from using it as my daily driver. i did use it for two months after receiving it though. the shape is good, not great, just good. i think the ec2 shape is way better for my hand. my hand is 17.5cm from base to tip.

i used the g400s for quite a while during its release but the incredibly laggy sensor implementation makes it unusable to me. i even tried to give it a go very recently and just could not get used to it, feels like i was dragging the cursor through the mud. however i love the shape, the super light button clicks which the g402 does not have at all and the side buttons. the weight is also very nice for the size of the mouse.

while i dont have a newer version of the ec2, my ec2 evo cL is still one of my fav mice in my entire 20+ mouse collection. the only reason i havent gotten an ec2-a is because im just going to straight up wait for zowie to release the 3360 version (hopefully). i really don't like the 3310 at all in any companies implementation of it. the only reason i dont use my ec2 evo cL currently as my daily driver is because well its in rough shape from over use and i have plenty of other mice to choose from at the moment. but it was my reigning king from launch until very recently. even with the weird 3090, it still felt better then the g400s to me.

not here to bash your opinion OP, just sharing my experience with these 3 mice as well. right now im using my 2k13 DA, since its essentially a bigger ec2 with a really good sensor and godlike side buttons.

I have Deathadder too but for me the grip is REALLY akward. Its somehow too wide and sidegrips are strange. But how is G400s laggy? Is there somekind of data about this or is this only a subjective feeling?

I'm skeptical of the G400s having a laggy 3090 implementation.

There's also this:

So the G400s arrived. After 5 minutes testing I threw it to trash can. Literally. Stiff buttons. DPI buttons dont work. Mice feet scratch pad. Awful mouse.

has anyone ever done a mspaint comparison between g400 and g400s at max dpi?

Seems a bit extreme...just return it.

I have all the mice you mentioned. I'm currently using the 2016 (newest version) finalmouse. The side buttons are improved and are better than zowie by a long shot (razer da feel). Build quality is great on mine and all the clicks are perfect and light. The sensor is near perfect and consistently accurate for me. The flaws for me are the blinding logo and super stiff cable. I already removed the braiding to help with the cable but it's still too stuff. Wanting on my Paracord to arrive so I can swap the cable and dim the logo and change the color of the lighting to red. After that I think it will be near perfect. I plan on trying the fm scream one and any other mouse worth it.
