Its only real drawback is weight imo.

His username says all.

'Garbage' shape to you. Terrible button design?...To You. Sharp edges to you, i have 0 issues and i have a big darn hand. So idk where the sharp edges are for you. 107G is a fail now?? I disagree with the Rival still being uses by some pro's as well as the DA. 107 G for a wireless mouse is great. Now the price i can agree with, i do not like it at $150. The wheel is Not terrible. The thread that talks about the mouse shows the positive in masses about the mouse. You just dislike it is all. Don't trash it cause you HateAllMice. Lol
post #43 of 91
@dlano, my biggest thing was him trashing a mouse that he clearly never used. A mouse that weighs right around the same weight as the DA and Rival 300...that I know pros use. If anything, I've had more experiences with Razer or Zowie to liken it to 'trash' or 'garbage' than I have with Logitech. But I dunno. I can't please everyone, but I can point out the flaws of his argument that he backed up with.........nothing.

In all fairness to comments regarding pros still using heavier mice like the DA and Rival 300, if you're sponsored by Razer the DA is practically the only good mouse they still make. And Steelseries only have the Rival 300 as a viable ergonomic right hand shape mouse.

Size, sensitivity and the type of game played are all factors in what would be the ideal weight for one to use, but those pros playing CSGO with particularly low sensitivity would probably jump at the possibility of lighter versions of their sponsors mice. Hence the popularity of Zowie I suppose.

Yep. There was a time I really liked the DeathAdder, but it's not good for me for a couple of reasons now. Even with rather large hands, the Rival 300 is still a bit awkward for me. It's not too heavy as it carries it's weight well, but there's just something about it to where I can't use it consistently.

I like my EC1-A even though it needs an RMA still. Zowie as a whole definitely have the right idea to go for many different shapes, correct switches and relatively light weight across the board. Currently I'm using and loving the Rival 100 and I'm thinking about trying the Zowie that is similar in size/shape to it.

Thread Starter
I tend to agree with the humorous comments about "feature glut" ...

But I will say this in defense of Swiftpoint (the company) ... their Swiftpoint GT is truly a super remarkable bit of engineering and is one of the best *portable* peripherals I've used ....

...

...

It's my experience with that above mentioned, super solid bit of mouse engineering that prompted me to say anything at all about the gaming mouse they are developing; as a designer myself, I'm a total sucker for well designed products and my experience with the Swiftpoint GT mouse made a fan out of me (of the company).

How that "Z" gaming mouse will pan out for them? I have no idea ...

But no worries on the thread derail ...

Wrong. TSM Sick used the G900 at ECS finals as wireless and had the best rating of all players until they lost at the semi-finals. And he also mentioned he liked it a lot.

That thing is a mouse? I legitimately can't even figure out how you'd hold it.

Awesome shape, nice buttons not as good as g303's but better than most and no sharp edges on my G900 in gripping area with any kind of grip.

107g is almost the same as rival 300 and less than famous ie3.0 and it's wireless what makes it feel lighter.
I understand that some people like very lightweight mice. But the weight was announced before sales start, lightweight lovers could ignore it.
Bought mine for 160 bucks I could find more expensive shop for sure but what for? biggrin.gif

I like them being small because I'm not using them most of the time. And when I am I don't need to turn over my mouse.

Which is a good thing for a mouse that is not very light. At least if you are using wrist movements and not full arm.
