1400PLN for a reference RX480 here, while 970s go for 1250.

here's what I found regarding this price

1060 will have exactly the same 38% sp deficit to 980, but only 25% less ROPs. 980 runs at 1253MHz in game, so 1060 would have to boost to 1900MHz to achieve the same 53% advantage as 1070 has over TX.

However, 1070 has worse mem bandwidth than TX, while 1060 might more or less equal 980 if they use 8GHz DDR5 on 192-bit.

The question is whether 1060 needs that 1900MHz clock to equal 980. 1070 does cause it has much worse ROP/bandwidth ratio than Titan X, 1060 will look better in that respect if compared to 980.

My official prediction is 1060 is gonna equal or slightly beat reference 980. It's gonna beat RX 480 in majority of games too since reference 980 is 10% faster than RX 480.
I say techpowerup will show it 15% faster than RX 480 on 1920x1080 overall performance chart, and the card is gonna show major power/performance advantage over RX 480, say around 1.6X

edit: lol, I missed the post above, and it does say 15% over RX 480

Beat you to it. And beat videocardz.com for the specs too.

But I guess it was obvious looking at the block architecture setup.

I think Nvidia's going to price this more aggressively than 300 and 250. 300 might be a stupid founder edition card(I hope not) but I see this more of a 250/200 dollar card.

It will be over 300 in euroland regardless.

I disagree about the shroud. The flat black fin cover is a cheap looking replacement for the actual window we get on the 1070/1080 and I actually really like the angular design of the new Pascal flagship cards. Its a very refreshing update to the original Titan cooler while still retaining that Titan look.Bravo to Nvidia for making really high quality and interesting reference designs ( orders of magnitude better than what we get from AMD) but the pricing just kills it, especially the shameless FE nonsense.

Absolutely no way they only charge $200 and you can quote me on that. It's gonna be at least $250 and if I had to guess the 6GB will be $300 with the FE being $350. You'd think they would aggressively price this 1060 given the incredible p/p of the 480 but this is arrogant Nvidia and they will NOT "lower" themselves to competing with AMD on price. They are above that and won't think they need to...

They don't just think they don't need to compete on price, they don't need to compete on price. Haven't in years.

I was dissapointed with rx480 prices. But with value of PLN vs $ it was to be expected. So as u said after selling my gtx960 Asus Turbo + Accelero Twin Turbo now i have used gtx970 EVGA FTW for 950 PLN. Bad side of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxcIIpsonQ4 . So no more 60s from nvidia for me. It was weak and very loud even at idle for its price . Now i have army of grasshoppers in my pc. Quality of electronics is really bad now.

I agree and that's why AMD is going to gain market share over the year.
