Hey everyone, it's been a while!

I am currently making a server box for hosting a Minecraft server on. Right now, I'm using my rig for it (at 4.2 GHz on air), and it's working very well! I can host 15 people without my PC breaking a sweat, but the processor has its ups and downs sometimes. Anything above 15 people and the game starts to slow a bit. This is modded Minecraft, by the way, and it uses up a lot more resources than a vanilla Minecraft environment will.

For those of you that do not know Minecraft, the game calculates entities at 20 Hz (also known as Ticks Per Second, or TPS.) So the game has 50 milliseconds to do all the work and then sleeps until the next tick. My computer is capable of hosting up to 15 people comfortably with a little variance (up to 60-70 ms per tick sometimes), but looking at the performance gains from the 6700K, I know I will potentially be able to see 20 to 25 people on the server.

So we are having a donation drive. We've gotten enough money for the CPU already (yay!) and I victoriously bought the 6700K on sale ($315!) Here is my current build:

While I was looking at the back of the box of the i7, I realized that it does not support quad-channel memory. I feel a little bamboozled, honestly. Well, the reason I am here is because I am looking for your honest opinion on the best potential build for around this price. The memory I picked out was Vengeance 2666. I don't know if I should go that route though.

Here's what I want: I want slammin' performance, I want to push my CPU as hard as it can go without stressing too much (remember this will be 24/7) and I just want everyone to be happy, while delivering the best possible Minecraft server experience that I can.

So, 2666? 3000? Please advise! And if you guys see any other tweaks, I am very open to your thoughts and opinions there.

Thanks OCN!
