Monitors Dropping Signal

Thread Starter
I picked up a second 980ti GPU and two Acer Predator Z35s on Monday. I cannot get both monitors to work at the same time in SLI, the signal will eventually drop for both simultaneously.

I've done the following things:

1. Bought $40 certified cables to go from DP 1.2 to Mini DP
2. Used DDU to completely remove all drivers
3. Installed 365.19 update instead of most recent (supposedly most stable for SLI)
4. Updated MB BIOS
5. Swapped location of SLI Bridge
6. Tested GPUs individually with single monitor (all combinations work flawlessly like this)
7. Changed TDR setting from 2 seconds to 10
8. I've gone through several NVCP suggested settings

The EVGA (Kingpin 980ti) folks say there is an issue with the Acer monitors, but I'm not so sure. From the sound of it it's a DP port issue on the GPUs or a combination of the two.

I haven't attempted any OC obviously because I can't get past this issue.

I will name my next child after whomever can help me out here:)

Should I put this in a different forum section??

Is it possibly G-Sync related? I'm not familiar with G-Sync, but I'm wondering if the cards are having issues syncing the monitors.

I've tried it with G-Sync disabled. It's not a feature I need as I'm not using the rig for gaming. It seems to be a syncing issue for sure, but I also used a second monitor that didn't have G-Sync and it dropped signal at the same time as the Z35 after a few minutes.

I've heard about updating the BIOS to the cards, but EVGA says the Kingpin comes with the most current firmware installed.

I received my EVGA SLI bridge from Amazon. Also updated to current NVIDIA driver.

Running one monitor through DP port, the other through HDMI (removing G-Sync capability).

I was typing up a post thinking that it was fixed, but then instead of the screen turning black it turned white and flashed 4 or 5 times. Then went to no signal.
