Maybe it's just me but that'd be a nice update put in the OP as well imo.
Sometimes digging through past 15+ hours of posts can be a bit time consuming haha
Edit: Although I won't lie I don't click other forums yes even including redits as a source often, sometimes I still wonder how random forum posts get classified as news. Even if they are interesting I usually only click on source info if it's an article not a post.
Sometimes it bites like in this one.
But of course AMD is going to deny anything as long as they can and if it's small enough play it off as nothing. But in the end I have to say this shouldn't have had any possibility to happen in the first place.
I don't ever recall a gpu going out of spec on the pci-e slot power envelope, just that in and of itself is interesting.
It points in the direction that RX 480 full fat really needed at least an 8-pin aux pci-e power.
Or it just fell less efficient than AMD really wanted for their total design, either way it's a bit of a failure in my book out of the gate.Edited by rx7racer - 6/30/16 at 7:09am
