Airflow/Fan Placement for Thermaltake V21. Help, please.

Hello. I have these components:

Thermaltake V21

Gigabyte GA-Z170M-D3H

i5 6500

EVGA 650W Semi-Modular

16GB Crucial Ballistix RAM

I am having a bit of a hard time figuring out how many fans I need to put in the case, the placement and the proper air flow. I am using the stock cooler and I will not be overclocking anything, at all, ever smile.gif.

Can any of you help me out with my issue?

Thank you in advance for any and all help!

I suggest looking at "Ways to Better Cooling" link in my sig. 1st post is index, click on topics to see them. 5th would be a good starting point.

Built my wife's computer in a V21 chassis. It's an i5 4690k, currently running stock speed with a Cryorig H7, and a GTX 760. It's configured with the window on the top panel and two mesh side panels. Fans are stock front intake, a 140 mm rear exhaust and two 140 mm side intakes, each mounted near the front of the chassis.

The added side intake fans are total overkill, but I had them sitting around, and with that many fans I can dial the fan curves way down and still get good temps.

With your setup you could probably get by not adding any fans at all, or maybe just a rear exhaust. If you add a GPU that is not self exhausting then you may need to add a bit more airflow.
