Hello all I just completed my first ever pc build so I'm a complete noob. I heard great things about this site and all the knowledgeable people, so im excited to start learning!

a couple specs of my new pc:

i7-6700k
corsair h60i cooler
Msi sli Mobo
Msi armor 1070 oc gpu
16gb corsair ddr4
Corsair cx750 psu(I know this is pretty bad but it works for now)

Nice system, the h60i is a poor cooler and not much better (if any) than a $25 hyper 212+ evo

Welcome to OCN!!

I would agree. great system build started there. The cooler is very poor, if you're looking at AIO liquid coolers. It would help to know the case you are picking

I originally bought a h100i v2 but the case I have currently was to small. Not even sure of the model but its a cooler master mid tower pretty small and has poor cable management. Also it was free so I got the h60i purely for space since its a 120mm. Also complete noob so I usually go based off what I'm reading on reddit and reviews on amazon. Wish I discovered this site earlier guide me!

A Noctua NH15 is my next cooler. My corsair h90 does a good job with my i7 3770k @ 4.5

I have a h80i in a $20 case mounted in the front drive bays thumb.gif , easily keeps a FX 8350 @ 4.5 ghz on silent and 4.8 ghz on performance

If you aren't overclocking at the moment (which you won't need to do with an i7 6700k for the time being), your cooler should suite your needs. Just pick a new one up someday when they are on sale. Someone mentioned the Noctua - those are huge air coolers (great, but very large).

Welcome to the site! Enjoy your new computer

At stock return the h60i and use the oem cooler

If you overclock buy a better cooler

Basically you don't need a h60i

6700k doesn't come with a stock cooler so I'll use the h60i for now
