to backup your current bios. Compare your bios against this one
. If they are identical, you are good to go. Download this bios
and flash your card with it. There was not a single report of a reference 4GB card that did not have 8GB. For some reason XFX has an own bios even on the reference models, but there is no difference in the hardware.
There is always the risk of an error during flashing that can brick the card. You then need onboard graphics or another card to boot your system and flash again.
