I tried it alt-tabbed from 3DMark, is there anyway to run it windowed? I'll download Heaven to see if there's any difference.

Edit: Just tested it with Heaven windowed, and wow, you're completely right. Runs under 30μs. I guess when it's in an idle state latency goes through the roof?

Didn't see your post (updated mine), but I tried Heaven windowed just now and it worked completely fine without huge spikes under load. This issue was really worrying me, so I'm glad this is only an issue when in desktop. I switched MPC-HC to use GPU acceleration, and there's no more latency problems thumb.gif. I guess it could be an issue for anyone watching YouTube / Netflix on their browser, though.

Edit: Ok well, I just ran Firestrike and it's spiking on that, unlike Heaven. Stock clocks.

I haven't had the chance to really game with this thing yet, but as soon as my new monitor comes in, I'll definitely be playing the hell out of Overwatch, properly with a M+KB (I don't want to play with a controller on my TV right now) and if it stutters at all, I'll be one sad panda and will be returning this card to NewEgg.

Even worse on Ultra:

For comparison sake, these were both done on my 960 after swapping it:

Ultra: http://i.imgur.com/C3WUwCV.jpg

There is definitely something up... My question is, is this a hardware issue or a driver one?

Edit again: Fixed, for the most part. I turned off speedstep and now I stay in the green with occasional spikes of 450-500 during FS. Running FS Ultra will still put me in the red, but Extreme and the standard test, as well with all the games I've been throwing at it have been fine so far.

I don't have any latency issues as soon as there is load. It always stays in the green and below 50 when bench marking or playing games.

don't forget the screen flickering that has a 21+ page thread going on for over a month now. even the hotfix driver doesn't fully fix it.

Thanks for your awesome feedback @Eorzean.

I've seen several users over at GeForce.com forums that have tried disabling SpeedStep/C-states with no improvements. So maybe this varies even more system to system, which would suck IMO.

And AFAIK there's still not an official response from NVIDIA, just ManualG asking for DXDiags.

Thanks for that mate.

I don't know how I missed it, maybe too focused on the Pixel Clock and high DPC latency issues.

So I am wondering if this still happens with Pascal. Can anyone verify?

i just tried underload and there was no difference at all.

on a side note, anyone know why page faults are so high?

edit:
i figure it can't but curious to know if this high dpc could cause hardware damage or any damage.
