It is noisy. Can't argue that

The 480 runs about the same as the 290 from a performance standpoint.. I could hit the limit of my fx8350@4.5ghz with both cards.

Something tells me these rx480's wont live a long life either.

Mine runs about the same as my old 270X's. ~65C under load, 1300/2200 at 1085vcore/975mem. Spins up to about ~3000 rpm. Both around the same power draw at ~135watts

Im a lot happyer with the RX480..

I'd of gave up my 390x for a RX 480 right now also. Reason being is...... power.... temps....efficiency.... Now, if you already got a 290/x, 390/x, 970, then you don't have much reason to get a RX 480, but that was never the point of this card. The point was to bring that performances to the masses at a good price, and I think AMD hit a home run with these cards.

That its Bro thumb.gif I never want a "Upgrade" with the RX480. My Opinion was to test the new Architecture and lower Power Consumption thumb.gif

RX480 my new baby! I pulled a 15K right out of the hat.

First run 1350 core 2200 memory

6600k 4.6@1.31v

Awesome! Do you happen to have any gaming benchmarks to run? It would be great to see what a RX 480 with a 15K FS score can do in games.

I should probably start a benchmark thread to gather the results.

This is probably the most impressive video card I have owned. The only games I have are Arma III, and metro last light.

Arma III I remember as being a tough game to run.

Everything is cranked up with a 200% resolution scale, 8XAA, 16XAF I average 35-50 fps. This is a very demanding game. I run max view distances too.

A GTX 970 or 980 would choke for memory

As for metro 2033, it is very easy to run. With max detail, and 4XSSAA with v sync on.

Arma III is easily the hardest game on a GPU today.

I only play at 1080P, everything runs smooth.

Great job AMD.

If you can find a RX480, get it! Even if there is a small premium. I was so lucky to buy mine NIB from a member on here for regular price. I was a huge Intel/nvidia fan. And while I love Intel still. Nvidia has just gotten too stingy with there customers. If youncan afford a GTX 1070 by all means get it.But, I am more than satisfied with AMD right now.

It's out of stock everywhere.

You'll have an easier time finding a non-reference Pascal card for under FE pricing.
