AMD will not be able to recover from the negative PR around this launch. Nvidia is going to just laugh all the way to the bank with Pascal. The way AMD is going they might fold up within a year.
I'm wondering whether these are people fishing for a new motherboard or their boards actually died from pulling a little more than 75W from the PCI-e slot.
Some have pretty good quality boards and overclocked cards pull over spec from the MB all the time. Well whatever you have warranty for these kind of things anyways.

Considering OC UK sold 2000 in just one day the number is likely even far high. Very worrisome if it indeed breaks cheap boards because people buying this card will use the cheapest board that fits their i5.

And then they'll have to buy new boards, most likely from the AMD side, increasing AMDs profits even more. Smart.

I can guarantee you that there will be tons more of these reports suddenly popping up, though I can also guarantee you that 99% of them will be posted by trolls & shills.

You can't put an i5 in an AMD board rolleyes.gif
They should've launched Zen board first if this was their plan. How dark it would be.

Probably.

I think most people buying an RX 480 have AMD CPUs. That's what my guess would be.
