I do have the 15 x 15 in my basement, though only 8 foot ceilings , so I smash the controllers on the ceiling a lot lol.

I haven't used my rift in almost a full 2 months lol. I would just so much rather get up off my but and walk around, it's so much better. Now if they could just get the interactive porn out.... lol

Do you know what the replacement headband will be called, I would love to try it out! Comfort can be improved alot!

Keep in mind you will need at least 2 cameras for the touch controllers and unless you have them across the road from each other plus remember the long cable you would need to run , 360 with no occlusion will probably take as much work and be less effective.

If you only use a small space and the above is said, yeah gotta use what your face is comfortable with.

It works the same seated as standing there is no limit to sitting vs the rift. Basically if comfort is not an issue and 360 no occlusion fun I.E. Vr was the goal 100% the vive. It sounds like you had comfort issues, not technology issues with the vive.

(This aside from the FACEBOOK reason to keep far away from that data thriving vector of Facebook's attacks)

Self contained tracking maybe project tango Esq will definitely be appreciated when it rolls out. The vive in its current form is PERFECT for us enthusiasts, we all know gen 2 or maybe 3 before really cleaning up basics of design and these become mass market friendly (and comfortable).

You're right, most of my issues were comfort related. Part of the reason I really wanted to like the vive was that there were things that it did very well. The controllers really did feel like an extension of my hands. It's hard to explain but it really felt like the vive was getting mad at me for trying to sit down. Lol.

Since you have a 15x15 space, the vive is a no brainer. I give HTC credit for actually having everything ready at launch as opposed to Oculus who keep spamming my email with promises of touch controllers "soon".

As for the pr0n, they have interactive stuff and they have VR stuff, they just need a wide variety of the combination. Lol.

I'm just waiting on my GTX 1070 to arrive before I order my Vive. I'm pumped!

It's pretty clear that the naysayers have never tried real VR. If you've spent some time in HTC Vive roomscale, you'll realize it's the future.

^Pretty much this.
I have had Vive for over 2 months now. And it's about the only gaming I do anymore. It's just too much fun & that compelling. My gaming monitor just sits there collecting dusts. This may change when Battlefield One releases though.

This article is based on a hardware survey that's based on data collected a couple months ago. I'm not sure what the shipping situation is like with Oculus but these numbers might be quite different now.

Where do you see that? The graph i see shows April to June 2016.

Im sure the Oculus mysterious component shortage and extended shipping delays didnt help the situation. But i know many people that cancel their Rift and bought a Vive just because they didnt want to wait.

That's the date of when the report is published - not when the data is collected.

Could be wrong, but I don't think the survey data is published instantaneously and I don't think this month's is up yet.

EDIT: Nevermind. I guess it was updated in the last day. Seems like the figures haven't changed much.
