It might very well BE the only issue, ive fixed tons of tv's that just had a few blown or damaged caps. Try replacing them. might get lucky and that be the issue and it will work fine, should only cost a few bucks in caps.

So an update.

During the time, I managed to buy a 1070, and I had the monitor sent to a repair shop for inspection. Where they didn't find anything(Pretty sure they didn't open it up but they told me they let it run for 2hours, tested all the ports with no issues at all) and with the 1070 for the last 2 days I haven't had any issues. So It seems to be fixed, but I've yet to comprehend how that was the GPU issue, considering I could do everything on my second monitor while the benq was under inspection, that burn mark is still very much annoying me.

I'm happy I can use my setup fine now but this still feels like some sort of a paranormal activity.

If they really didnt replace anything i would replace those bulging caps asap before they do go and possibly damage something, i cant see it being a gpu issue either but maybe?
