If that is the case; don't their rights and freedoms end when they infringe on mine?

It no see wood? No cell service area and no center divider. Well good they they don't "recommend" that!

Tesla doesn’t recommend to use the Autosteer feature of the Autopilot on a road without a center divider

This cluster is looking worse and worse everyday. I think they will be pushing this tech back rather than driving it forward with this track record, pun intended.

BTW nice grammar in that quote. Lol

Shouldn't that be off-track record?

Luckily we here in America still live in a representative Republic and the will of the people supersedes any namby-pamby do-gooder crusader's desire to strip of us our rights and privileges no matter how much they argue that it will save lives. Driving is an almost religious representation of our freedom here in "Merica so good luck to you guys proposing prohibiting of human drivers on the roads. Its not happening for a loooooong time, here anyway. Sure AI drivers will get better and they will share more and more of the road with us human drivers but legislation will hit a brick wall the second anybody seriously proposes making it a "crime" to drive your own vehicle. That's just preposterous! rolleyes.gif

We say that, but it sure didn't take long for autotragic slushboxes to take over, and even worse there are plenty of vehicles nowadays where that's the only option.... Too many see driving as a chore to get in between chores and errands...

Try taking a horse and cart on a freeway and see how far you get...

It probably won't happen in our lifetime, but I can see it happening eventually, for better or worse.

"Eventually" we won't even need cars and people will teleport from place to place, who knows? But here in 2016 to make the claim that "soon" people will not be allowed to drive their own vehicles is just ridiculous.
