I've also tried submitting directly to the competition page and it gives me the "no rig pic" error (even though the original picture is on the submission page ) . Tried different browsers, rigs, picture files still the gods frown upon me. lol

Man, sometimes trying to get sub in is a pain, I've noted at times problems with certain pieces of hardware not recognized and it does cause issues - But then again the site has alot of bugs anyway with the way they are constantly changing things.

Be sure your rig pic is the correct format for the site to accept it, I know JPEG works and thats what I use with mine.
I was going to say go to the stage itself and scroll to the bottom and you'll see a submission button there to use but you've already done that I see.

If need be I'd submit a ticket describing the problem, could be an issue with the site.

BTW for Cinebench I'm getting ready to turn it loose guys. biggrin.gif

I'm not much of a threat to the top scores , but I do want to make a contribution.

Pretty much everything you said about the Mobile athlon was spot on. Every reboot requires changing the settings in bios, which is a time consuming , but that little chip wants to run.

Usually it's talent that holds me back , but time is the limiting factor , 100 hr weeks at work are putting a damper on my hobbie time.

Spent about half an hour today trying to get a better memory freq score, didn't get there but I did manage to get another 50 Mhz out of the FSB on that board.

I also found and bought a brand new never used MSI K7 delta ISLR platinum ( first motherboard I ever bought back in 03 i think it was) planning on plopping a 3200 + on it - hopefully I can manage a score in the 3d 99 max comp.

Not bad for that chip.
However the mobile you really want is a Newark provided your board supports it and I don't believe the one you have does.
The DFI LanParty NF3-250 does along with the NF4X Infinity, you can find a LanParty every so often on fleabay but an NF4X will be much harder to come by, those rarely being seen period.

My suggestion:
Go for a LanParty - You'll be OK with it and be able to run any chip you want in the board plus the LanParty does have some really good settings to choose from, some being better than even what the NF4X has.
Only real difference is obvious based on the chipset each has.

My only other choices in 754 are a 3100+ sempron and a 3000+ athlon... ( I think that's what they are anyhow)

No doubt that they are the best boards considering the application. I tried to get the 939 DFI board I have up and running for the DDR freq comp, but it acts like something in the HDD controller isn't playing ball.
Only DFI I've messed with - maybe this old dog is having trouble learning new tricks redface.gif.

Today's escapades weren't very fruitful. I mounted the 3200+ ( very rough shape via ebay, may have to return it) on the K7N Delta ISLR and was greeted with a no video condition followed by a no power condition..... doh! Decided to test the old but lightly used 5xxx series video card I had planned on using in the 3d 99 max comp.... and it seems like its dead as well doh.gif.

Tough to find now. Keep an eye on the caps. Those boards are cap eaters.

This is true, best pickup a soldering/desoldering station like I did and learn how to solder - Good thing is with a setup like that you can save a ton of $$ in both saving problem boards and buying them too, I've bought several OC'ing boards dirt cheap and was able to fix these for use and they do the job.

Also handy for doing voltmods too if you want. wink.gif

Thread Starter

The Dogpile stage was one I didn't update, just too many entries to keep up on.  I'll be calculating the scores, with luck, tonight and will contact the winners and the details of the random drawing for the Dogpile stage.
