I have a card and 965 BE (under phase), but a six core would definitely help as it is Vantage. However, I have one dead 2900XT 512 and one which seems to bug out when OCed, so I might not be able to get a score up.

As far as the card itself goes, I believe there is some "Diamond" version with 800MHz stock clock, I wish you luck in finding it though as I can barely find the reference versions.

Need some help with gpupi for cpu. Im using 5960x and win7 64bit but gpupi crashes instantly when running batch 4m and reduction 512. Crashes even at stock cpu settings, all other batch/reduction combos work fine. All the best scores are 4m/512 so thats what I was trying to use.

Tried gpupi v2.1.2, v2.2, v2.3.4 all with same results. Using openCL runtime 16.1

Thanks for any help

Have you tried using the AMD OpenCL?  Been awhile since I've run GPUPI but that is the one I always found worked the best.

Asus around that time seemed solid, doubt you could really go wrong with any of the big names, but can't say I have a lot of cards from around then.

I grabbed the lastest openCL runtime (16.1) from intel. That is what is listed as needed for intel cpu on the gpupi homepage. Maybe I need to try an older version.

As far as I know, the AMD version runs Intel chips as well, in fact, for some its actually fastest.  I've never run GPUPI on anything so current, but maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

It also depends on if it's 100M or 1B. For 100m Intel OpenCl is normally faster and for 1B AMD OpenCL SDK is better.

Ignore this post. It's just here so that I can quickly reference this point to contribute to the team with my setup as soon as I'm back in town. Gosh! Literally submitted this morning before my flight left lol http://hwbot.org/submission/3272423_

(points are points, and I wasn't willing to spend more than $30 on a CPU, don't judge)
