I threw a g3258 1m in there tonight. Crappy chip but maybe it will get us a few points. I have a few other haswell I will run later this week. I had a better score but it crashed before I could save the screenshot.

I saw that, nice work man! 5.8G is no small feat for a retail G3258. Your mems need some work for sure, but that probably wont matter too much for Pi1M

I had it tighter(9-10-10-26) but was getting worse times. I've never really done anything with mem so maybe I did something wrong?

Updated OP, including adding the amount of submissions that have been made to the Dogpile.  OCN has agreed to add prize support to our push for Team Cup Champions so watch out for an official announcement regarding that.  Lots of stages to grab some points!

What mem ic's? If they are sammies try 9-10-10-21-108 1T @ 1.65V.

Here's some tricks that I've learned for Pi1M,
Use dual channel or the Channel A slot closest to the cpu (the DDR3_2 one on your board) if you only have one good stick.
Set the pagefile to Min: 512MB / Max: 512MB and set the Memory usage to "System cache"
Run the 32K test twice before running 1M.
In task manager set Super Pi's priority to Real time and the affinity to core #2.

These should shave a few more ms off your time if you haven't already done them.

We need info about your kit.

If he has Samsung then he should start with 2800 9-12-12-21 (up to 2.2v). If they are hynix or something else you will burn them up super fast with 2.2v, but Sammy can run that for ages and not degrade. Here are two different sammy setups both done with my Kingston HYKO ES sticks. My golden ES sticks wont run 2800 9-10-10 without cold, even then probably not.

Super tight 2800 (5G tweaker submission)

They are Hynix. By chance is there a list of known models and the IC they use or am I just basically taking a shot in the dark when buying?

I say stick to G.Skill because you can be sure of what you are buying. If you are looking for Samsung tho, they are usually really easy to spot but the good ones are hard to find. The good Sammy sticks will be 2400 9-11-11-31 (2500 serial number for G.Skill), wile the crappier (don't bother with these) Sammy will be 2400 10-12-12-31 (1500 serial number for G.Skill).

Here is a very useful thread for identifying the particular IC of the stick you have.

I have a couple 6970's. Asus and powercolor branded. The powercolor will max out the overclocking sliders in the overdrive program, I'll pair it with one of my i 7's and give it a go ( water on the i7 stock cooler on the gpu).

EDIT: I have a 5830 and a 5770 as well, but neither are very good.
