Super weird computer problem

Thread Starter
Hi!

So i have this really weird problem with my computer (as the tittle would suggest). So let me go through what happens. At 01:22AM the PC will stop working (happend 4 days in a row at that exact time), programs that are stil open will work to some extent but i can not open anyting, it wont even shut off if i press "shut down". So by now my maleware Bells and whistles are going off, but neither malwarebytes or avast finds anything and nothing seems to be wrong, no files have been encrypted or been removed and nothing seems to have been added.

So my question is *** is going on?

PS Running win 10 pro

Does WIn 10 have a task scheduler? If so, it's maybe worth having a look in there, and see if you can find a log associated with it, and see if anything is triggered at that time. Also, does the event viewer not offer any clues under the system log and application log?

Small update:
Yesterday at 00:56 it happend again. This time i had task manager open and could see noting out of the order (or i did, but som simple google searches told me it was fine) so im back to square one. I also did a clean sweep of the task schedule and could not find anything there either. I did how ever notice something when it all happend. It took some time for the "glitch" to take full effect. i was playing L4D2 and when it started my sound started to act crazy for about 2 minutes and then everything crashed saying windows "cant find that file". Which means i only have to options left (if this isnt some super advanced malware that manages to hide from both avast and malwarebytes but does nothing more than annoy), first option is that this "glitch" could be remote acctivated or that windows for some reason i crapping the bed at around 1am everyday.

Open the Event Viewer in windows and see if there are any errors around that time period. It sounds like an updater or other scheduled maintenance task (eg: backups) is causing the issue.

Tried this and found some problems. After some searches on google (did a search for every event id i had) nothing seems to be the cause for this crash... except one (or im not sure but i cant find any info on this one) it's called "SetupARService" and the description goes like this "Cannot boot/start service. System.nullreferenceexception object reference not set to an instance of an object
at SetupAfterRebootService.SetupARService.OnStart(String[] args)
at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback(Object state)
(test that is "leaning" is translted from swedish to english

PS just rebooted my pc after a windows update and the problem named above seems to happen on boot and later when the pc has been running for a while
