[Tom's] Nvidia’s GeForce Experience Beta Gets Significant UI Overhaul, Now Requires Login - Page 5

It's no problem not to log in and continue using AMD hardware at all, I will gladly add Nvidia to my list of boycotted brands.

Time to sell the last few Nvidia pieces of hardware I have in house.

Not only would that be immediately followed up with a massive class action lawsuit, but Nvidia would fall to pieces. They're not stupid, and this is more sensationalism without facts. It's exactly the same bullcrap that people went on about with Vista. So much hate and enough peer-to-peer rumor-hate speak that no one could get a better word in. Ever hear of the Windows Mojave experiment?

I say wait before hating more.

Yeah, great analogy. More tinfoil idiocy. It's a great tool, if you'd rather not use it out of principle, then do so - and stop being so entitled.

Yes, it really is that simple. Nobody is forcing you.

So, how do I use ShadowPlay without logging-in? That's one reason why I bought an nVidia card.

And by principle, I'd do more than not use it, I'd not buy nVidia cards for a few more update cycles.

Why does Shadowplay require an internet connection currently?

First they locked shadowplay behind an internet connection
now they are locking it behind an account sign in

Well, for a start - good luck streaming to YT or Twitch without signing in. Nothing you can say here will make rational sense outside of your own entitled nonsense. As I say, simply don't use the service out of your own principles. Let the sane people take umbrage when something unacceptable happens.

And no, if you have to ask - wanting you to login to use a service doesn't constitute that.

Then you sign in regardless if asked, using an email address that you'd use for these types of things, and not the one that can be traced back to your questionable interests and tastes.

From the article it is not clear if to use anything in GFE you need to login or just to use some features.
So most likely, best wait and see? If Nvidia gets enough bad lip about it, they will change it.
