So does that mean the graph that it produce was a result of the test or is the graph false and because I did not hear any test sound ?

the graph is meaningless for this matter if you didn't hear the testtones at the same time through the headphones(the headphones have to be driven at the same time, to see the impedance effects in the graph).

In your graph, you see that the frequency response(20hz - 20khz) is more or less flat without a load(driven headphones), which was to be expected.

I have a ZxR and plan to go either for K701 or AD700X cans. Especially for the former it's more often recommended to pair them with a dedicated external amp.

I am wondering if there is a way to combine them with something like a FiiO E10K (I live in Germany and this one seems the easiest ones to get out of the more often recommended cheaper Amps) and still utilize the ZxR's SBX's virtual surround sound.

the e10k is actually pretty weak - the ZxR must have something like 4x the power of it(just guessing, from what i have read), and better everything else too(minus the output impedance, which doesn't really affect the K701 tho).
And you can't connect the e10k to make use of SBX-Surround anyways.

it's an exaggeration that the k701 is hard to drive too.
Yes, usual onboardsound / mobile devices are too weak, but about everything else powers them with ease(including dedicated soundcards).
They are only 64 Ohms ffs, and with that close to the range where the devices can output their highest power.

Thank you for the clarification, it helps a lot!

Just out of curiosity an external DAC/AMP combo is in general mutual exclusive with using an internal dedicated sound card (in order to have access to SBX, Dolby Headphone etc), isn't it?
if you want SBX on external DAC/Amp, you need to use SPDIF optical-out from the ZxR, so you also need an external DAC with optical SPDIF-in.

Sorry for the late reply.
My headphones are not working when connected with that kind of setup.
This is how my setup looks like.

This is the cable extensions and splitter that I use.

Am I not setting it up correctly ?
Are the cables not working properly or is it just the sound card that doesnt want to receive its line out signals ?
I did not try to run a test as when I tried to play music on this setup there were no sound coming out of my headphones at all.

It seems that this might be a 4-pin splitter, meant for connecting headphones + microphone(one output + one input) to a mobile device, so it won't work.
