FSX OR P3D v3 Sim gaming PC Build

Thread Starter
Guys i currently have an old rig..but i intend to upgrade it to play fsx SE or p3d v3 on it @ 1920x1200

Current rig is old n bottlenecked.
CPU AMD 9650 quad core
MOBO MSI (old dont ask)
RAM 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
GFX MSI GTX 960 2GB DDR5 Gaming
HDD WD Cav Black 1TB
PSU Corsair GS 700

i am only wondering whether to buy i7 4790K with ddr3 @ 2133 up MHz or 6700K with a ddr4 @ 3000 up mhz setup

which setup will give me better performance in fsx SE or p3d V3 in my dell monitor @ 1920x1200

My budget is around Rs. 45000 thats about USD 670.

Please advice i am dying to get a new setup.

Thanks in advance

For FSX/FSX Steam and P3D, those sims favour Intel and Nvidia they really do, so many tweaks can be done with Nvidia inspector for them in particular.

Both sims (they are related) are very CPU dependant, you mention the choice of DD3 or DDR4 depending on chipset/CPU you choose, so if upgrading I'd go DDR4, its relatively cheap now and is the way forward ... I have to dash out just now or would have written more, but if you see this and would like more advice from a massive FSX/P3D flight sim enthusiast who builds performance PC's mainly for these sims, answer the thread and I should see a notification if you need more detailed enthusiast advice smile.gif

Cheers.
