Pretty much this. Amazon is dumping their app, Spotify doesn't get updated anymore, Waze isn't there anymore because MS doesn't dare to go head to head against Google, and all of the major games don't exist on the platform. I agree, from a user standpoint that has use iOS and Android, WM10 is my favorite of them all in terms of cleanliness, usability, and ease. The tiles are wonderful and are different, the interface is slick and fast. The phone just feels good in the hand, the phone designs are wonderful (currently on a Lumia 830, leaning towards getting the next Winphone or jumping to Android with Samsung, Asus, HTC, Oneplus, Huawei, and Xiaomi).
But with anything nowadays, no good apps, means that there is no hope for the platform. Windows Phone is slowwlly going the way of WinMo 6.5 where it was strictly business centric, then died because MS didn't support their own product, and no 3rd party support where Apple came in and took it by storm. MS CEO has no real interest in Windows Mobile. If he did, he would have teams offer to port over 3rd party apps to make the usage lively and high on Windows Mobile. I mean, there are people making 3rd party of apps like Twitch, but no true first party support or app from Twitch sucks because it carries more weight in legitimacy.
Just seeing how Amazon left, it's kinda telling on how WM10 will live in the coming years, strictly a business phone with okay apps, then die off. Sad.Edited by bucdan - 7/25/16 at 2:58pm
